Position Overview

We are supporting Odessa Memorial Healthcare Center in seeking an Emergency Medical Technician to serve on the front lines of care.

As an Emergency Medical Technician, you will provide emergency medical care in pre-hospital settings, assist patients during transport, and respond to urgent situations across the community.

You will work closely with the hospital team and local volunteer fire department to deliver safe, efficient, and life-saving care.

What You Will Do

Provide basic or intermediate life support in emergency situations
Respond to emergency medical services calls and transport patients safely to care facilities
Assist medical providers during emergency response and stabilization
Operate emergency vehicles, equipment, and communication systems
Work collaboratively with volunteer fire department personnel
Perform patient assessments and deliver care within Washington State scope of practice
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient interactions
Ensure all equipment, vehicles, and supplies are clean, stocked, and ready
Participate in emergency response scenarios including rescues and evacuations
Remain calm and effective in high-stress, fast-paced situations

What We Are Looking For

Current Washington State Emergency Medical Technician certification
Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certification
Completion of required AIDS training
Strong decision-making skills in high-pressure situations
Ability to remain calm, focused, and professional during emergencies
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Commitment to safety, accuracy, and patient-centered care

Schedule and Expectations

On-call supplemental role with rotating team schedule
Must be within ten minutes of response area while on-call
Availability includes days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
Must remain fit for duty during on-call shifts

Work Environment

Field-based emergency response
Exposure to high-intensity and unpredictable situations
Collaboration with emergency medical services, fire services, and hospital teams
