About the Role
Odessa Memorial Healthcare Center (OMHC) is seeking a dynamic and mission-driven Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead our team and guide the future of healthcare in our rural community. This individual will serve as the senior executive responsible for overall operations, financial health, quality of care, and strategic direction of the hospital.

The CEO will work closely with the Board of Directors, senior leadership, staff, and community partners to ensure the hospital continues to thrive as a trusted provider of care for Odessa and the surrounding region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide visionary leadership and develop strategies that support long-term sustainability and growth of OMHC.

  • Oversee daily hospital operations, ensuring compliance with all healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.

  • Lead financial management, budget planning, and resource allocation to maintain fiscal responsibility.

  • Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and compassionate care across all departments.

  • Collaborate with the Board of Directors to establish goals, policies, and priorities.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with community stakeholders, regional healthcare partners, and government agencies.

  • Champion recruitment and retention strategies to attract top clinical and administrative talent.

Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field strongly preferred (Bachelors degree with significant leadership experience may be considered).

  • Minimum of 57 years of progressive healthcare leadership experience, with at least 3 years in a senior executive role (CEO, COO, CFO, or equivalent).

  • Proven experience in Critical Access Hospital (CAH) or rural healthcare leadership strongly preferred.

  • Demonstrated success in financial management, strategic planning, and regulatory compliance.

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.

  • Ability to lead with integrity, transparency, and a deep commitment to community-centered healthcare.
