Position Overview
As Controller, you'll report to the CFO or CEO and manage all financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and performance. This role is ideal for a diligent strategist ready to lead finance in a close-knit rural healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities

Lead financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements

Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

Ensure regulatory and grant compliance (Medicare, Medicaid, nonprofit audits)

Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions

Strengthen internal controls and financial systems

Coordinate audits and reporting with outside agencies and auditors

Mentor finance staff and train non-financial leaders

Collaborate on strategic planning, financial modeling, and cost control
Candidate Profile

CPA or CMA preferred

Minimum 5 years in accounting or finance leadership, ideally in healthcare or nonprofit

Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and nonprofit compliance

Strong communication and analytical skills

Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a rural setting

Familiarity with hospital ERP systems and reporting tools
