Position Overview
In this interim role, you will report directly to the CFO or CEO and lead finance and accounting operations, including reporting, budgeting, audits, and compliance. You will help support and stabilize the team during a key transition and make a meaningful difference right away.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead monthly and quarterly financial reporting

  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis

  • Ensure regulatory compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and nonprofit audits

  • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions

  • Strengthen internal controls and financial systems

  • Assist with external audits and grant reporting

  • Mentor finance staff and provide guidance across departments

Candidate Profile

  • CPA or CMA preferred

  • 5 or more years in accounting or finance leadership, ideally in healthcare or nonprofit settings

  • Strong understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and nonprofit compliance

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

  • Able to hit the ground running and support a rural team

  • Experience with hospital ERP systems and financial reporting tools
