About the Opportunity

A regional medical center in southern West Virginia is seeking an experienced RN Director of Quality & Risk to lead patient safety, quality improvement, accreditation readiness, and regulatory compliance across the organization.

This is a key leadership role supporting clinical excellence, organizational integrity, and a culture of safety. You will guide quality programs, partner with hospital leadership, and ensure best practices are in place for patient care and risk mitigation.

What You Will Lead

  • Oversight of Quality, Performance Improvement, and Risk Management

  • Patient safety initiatives and hospital-wide safety culture

  • Regulatory and accreditation readiness (CMS, Joint Commission, state)

  • Quality data, reporting, and continuous performance improvement

  • Ethics, compliance, incident review, and risk mitigation processes

  • Collaboration with nursing, medical staff, and hospital leadership

  • Development of policies, standards, and quality programs

  • Monitoring of hospital-acquired conditions and quality indicators

Minimum Requirements

Active West Virginia RN license (or eligibility)
Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN)
Previous Quality experience in a healthcare setting
Minimum 5 years of acute care RN experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPHRM or CPPS (or willingness to obtain within 2 years)

  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience

  • Strong background in risk management or patient safety
