Position Summary
A respected Critical Access Hospital in rural Oregon is seeking a Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to lead compassionate, high-quality care across all nursing services. The CNO will partner with the Chief Executive Officer and executive team to align clinical priorities, foster staff development, and ensure excellence in patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for all nursing departments.

  • Support professional growth, evidence-based practice, and teamwork among staff.

  • Collaborate with hospital leadership to drive quality, safety, and patient experience goals.

  • Manage budgets, staffing, and resource allocation in alignment with organizational objectives.

  • Serve as a visible, engaged leader who listens, guides, and empowers caregivers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Nursing required; Masters degree preferred.

  • Current RN license and eligibility to practice in Oregon.

  • Minimum five years of progressive nursing leadership experience, preferably within a rural or Critical Access Hospital setting.

  • Strong working knowledge of clinical operations, quality improvement, and regulatory standards.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead with integrity, empathy, and accountability.
