A dedicated rural healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager of Labor and Delivery to lead a compassionate team that helps bring new life into the world every day. The Nurse Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of Labor and Delivery, ensuring quality patient care, staff development, and teamwork across all aspects of the unit. You will guide a talented nursing staff, support continued learning, and build relationships that keep both families and team members supported through every moment.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and inspire a team of nurses and support staff within the Labor and Delivery unit

  • Oversee staffing, scheduling, and performance management

  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to maintain high standards of care

  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, patient safety goals, and best practice guidelines

  • Promote staff development, education, and community outreach for maternity services

  • Support initiatives that encourage patient choice, natural birthing options, and family-centered care

What You Bring

  • Current RN license (or eligibility)

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing required or a commitment to obtain

  • At least 5 years of Labor and Delivery experience

  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Fetal Monitoring

  • Previous leadership or charge experience

  • Understanding of OR processes and perinatal protocols

  • A calm, confident leadership style rooted in teamwork and empathy
