The Nurse Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of Labor and Delivery, ensuring quality patient care, staff development, and teamwork across all aspects of the unit. You will guide a talented nursing staff, support continued learning, and build relationships that keep both families and team members supported through every moment.
What You'll Do

Lead and inspire a team of nurses and support staff within the Labor and Delivery unit

Oversee staffing, scheduling, and performance management

Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to maintain high standards of care

Ensure compliance with hospital policies, patient safety goals, and best practice guidelines

Promote staff development, education, and community outreach for maternity services

Support initiatives that encourage patient choice, natural birthing options, and family-centered care
What You Bring

Current RN license (or eligibility)

Bachelor of Science in Nursing required or a commitment to obtain

At least 5 years of Labor and Delivery experience

Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Fetal Monitoring

Previous leadership or charge experience

Understanding of OR processes and perinatal protocols

A calm, confident leadership style rooted in teamwork and empathy
