Investment Operations Analyst

Job summary

A new entry-level, contract position, initially covering 12 months parental leave, has arisen to join a fast growing, Jersey-based, wealth management firm, as part of their investment team. 

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Operations Analyst to join our investment team. 

This entry-level role would suit individuals wishing to re-enter the workforce or start their career in operations and risk management. 

Attention to detail is an imperative. IT competency, including being adept at learning new software, is a must. As a growing team we require someone with a positive attitude, a sense of humour and the discipline to undertake administrative tasks, as they arise. The successful applicant will be hard working and sociable; with a drive for accuracy and a love of problem solving.

Duties and Responsibilities will include;

Reconciliation and accounting of clients assets, portfolios and bank statements, reviewing transactions, investigating and resolving inconsistencies

Co-ordinating payments and currency exchanges

Collation and analysis of investment portfolio data for client presentations and reports

Supporting client management, including opening accounts and related administration, production of performance and tax reports.

Oversight of the team, ensuring tasks are delegated and regular routines completed.

Organisation and backup for operational administration tasks, to include; payment input, investment database maintenance and updates.

Qualifications and skills

Must have Entitled for Work status, i.e. a minimum of 5 years residency in Jersey

An excellent proficiency in English and Maths.

A focus on getting things right first time

An appreciation of the concepts relating to risk management

Experience in using technology, with intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and overall familiarity with the MS Office suite

Initiative, an ability to organise and a desire to work in an entrepreneurial environment
