Marketing Executive

 Job Description:

The role would ideally suit someone with a recent relevant qualification or two years’ experience in marketing/sustainability and wishing to progress their career. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, possess a strong work ethic and be excited about the opportunity to influence and grow Affinity’s brand. We require a positive can-do attitude, a sense of humour, a love of problem solving and a desire to make a difference.

Duties and Responsibilities will include;
  • Protecting, promoting and growing our brand internally and externally

  • Development of content, copy writing and editing of: articles, blogs, impact reports, letters to stakeholders, presentation materials etc.

  • PR management, including coordinating events

  • Co-ordinating branding and marketing projects from concept to completion, liaising with our external agency and merchandising companies as appropriate, to include digital and print media, films, marketing campaigns, corporate gifts and events

  • Producing and formatting documents and basic graphics using design programmes

  • Responsibility for our slide library (PowerPoint) and other promotional materials

  • Support of our CSR initiatives to include: Jersey Good Business Charter, ecoJersey, UN Global Compact, PRI, D&I, our work with Durrell, carbon offsetting and charitable activities

Qualifications and skills

Essential

  • Must have “Entitled for Work” status i.e. minimum of 5 years residency in Jersey

  • Creative, with a genuine interest in marketing and communication

  • Expertise in using all social media channels and analysing success metrics

  • Initiative, an ability to organise and a desire to work in an entrepreneurial environment

  • Strong project management and personal organisation

  • Excellent written skills and ability to proof-read/edit

  • Engagement with environmental and social issues – desire to effect change for the better

Desirable

  • A degree or equivalent in marketing and/or environmental studies and sustainability

  • Intermediate or advanced knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with the Adobe creative suite (preferably Adobe Photoshop)

  • Basic knowledge of financial services and a desire to work in the sector
