We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Tech Information Science Specialist to join our growing remote team. This role sits at the intersection of technology, data, and information management, supporting the collection, organization, analysis, and optimization of technical data and knowledge assets across the organization.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working with complex datasets, understands information systems and data governance principles, and can translate technical information into actionable insights that support business and operational decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Collect, organize, and manage large volumes of technical and scientific information from multiple sources

Analyze structured and unstructured data to identify trends, patterns, and insights relevant to business objectives

Develop and maintain data taxonomies, metadata standards, and documentation to ensure information accuracy and usability

Collaborate with engineering, IT, analytics, and business teams to support data-driven initiatives

Support data governance, quality assurance, and compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements

Design and maintain dashboards, reports, and knowledge repositories for internal stakeholders

Evaluate and recommend tools, platforms, and processes to improve information management efficiency

Translate technical findings into clear, concise reports and presentations for both technical and non-technical audiences

Stay current with emerging technologies, data science practices, and information management trends

Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Information Science, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

3+ years of experience in information science, data analysis, technical research, or a related role

Strong understanding of data structures, databases, and information management principles

Experience working with data analysis tools, databases, or analytics platforms (e.g., SQL, Python, R, BI tools)

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment and manage multiple priorities

Preferred Qualifications

Masters degree in Information Science, Data Analytics, or a related discipline

Experience with data governance, data quality frameworks, or metadata management tools

Familiarity with cloud platforms and data ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP)

Experience supporting technical or scientific teams in fast-paced environments

Knowledge of compliance standards related to data privacy and security

Work Environment & Expectations

Fully remote position within the United States

Must have a valid U.S. working ID and legal authorization to work in the U.S.
