The Data Entry Specialist is responsible for accurately entering, updating, and maintaining data across internal systems and databases. This role ensures data integrity, consistency, and accessibility while supporting business operations and reporting functions.
The Data Entry Specialist works closely with operations, finance, customer service, and administrative teams to process large volumes of information efficiently in a remote environment.
This is a fully remote position; however, applicants must currently reside in the United States and be legally authorized to work in the U.S. Applications from individuals residing outside the United States will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter, update, and maintain accurate data in company databases and systems
- Verify and validate data for accuracy and completeness
- Review source documents and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain organized digital records and filing systems
- Perform regular data audits and quality checks
- Generate basic reports and summaries from data systems
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather and clarify data requirements
- Ensure confidentiality and security of sensitive information
- Meet productivity and accuracy benchmarks
- Assist with administrative and operational tasks as needed
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred
- 1–3 years of experience in data entry, administrative support, or similar role
- Strong typing skills with high accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Basic problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a remote environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with data management or CRM systems such as Salesforce, Microsoft Excel, or Google Sheets
- Familiarity with database systems or data entry tools
- Experience handling high-volume data processing
- Knowledge of data privacy and confidentiality standards
- Experience in industries such as healthcare, finance, or logistics
