As a Remote Data Relationship Analyst, you will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and managing relationships between data entities across systems, applications, and business domains. You will work cross-functionally with data governance, analytics, engineering, and business teams to ensure data accuracy, lineage, and connectivity enabling high-quality decision-making and operational efficiency.

This role requires a deep understanding of data modeling, entity relationships, metadata management, and business logic. You will serve as a bridge between business users and technical teams, ensuring that data relationships are documented, governed, and optimized.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze data structures and define entity relationships across platforms (e.g., customer, product, transaction, vendor, or compliance data)

Create and maintain data dictionaries, ERDs (entity relationship diagrams), and metadata documentation

Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business users to ensure accurate and consistent relationships between datasets

Map data flows and dependencies across systems and databases (e.g., ERP, CRM, data warehouse, cloud platforms)

Support data governance efforts by defining and enforcing relationship integrity rules (e.g., referential integrity, cardinality)

Participate in master data management (MDM), data lineage tracking, and data quality initiatives

Conduct impact analyses when data structures change or when new systems are introduced

Facilitate data integration and transformation logic for reporting and analytics use cases

Recommend improvements to data models and reporting structures to enhance relational consistency

Ensure documentation is up-to-date, accessible, and aligned with organizational data governance standards

Required Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or related field

2 years of experience in data analysis, data modeling, or business systems analysis

Proficiency in SQL and experience querying relational databases (e.g., MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL)

Strong understanding of data relationships, primary/foreign keys, joins, normalization, and dimensional modeling

Experience with data visualization or mapping tools (e.g., ER/Studio, Lucidchart, dbt, Power BI, Tableau)

Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills

Comfortable working remotely with cross-functional, distributed teams
