Devops Engineer

 Job Description:

Title: DevOps Engineer

Location: Swansea (2 days per week in the office in Swansea is required)

Summary

As the DevOps Engineer reporting to the DevOps Team Lead; you will manage the Git responsible for CI CD processes, investigate & and solve development and production issues and define users and grant permissions.

Responsibilities

  • Automate configuration management and deployment systems
  • Automate recurring tasks
  • Be involved in design discussions of R&D and properly design your own coding
  • Build, scale and optimize critical production systems
  • Continuously touch base with the larger online operations community
  • Build and manage the development & production CI / CD pipelines
  • Support and maintain engineering development environments using automated tools and best practices
  • Manage AWS infrastructure for R&D operations & production environments

Experience Needed

  • Experience with AWS (EC2, Load Balancers, Security Groups).
  • Experience with Windows services.
  • Experience with Linux Basics, and setting up basic services.
  • Understanding CI / CD best practices and approach.
  • Basic Kubernetes understanding.

Nice to Have's

  • Advanced AWS, ACM, DynamoDB, Kinesis, peering connections, private connections.
  • Experience with Kubernetes operations.
  • Experience with Terraform.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps Pipelines/Releases.
  • Understands SQL engines (at least Microsoft).
  • Development experience.

Remuneration package

  • Permanent contract
  • £50,000 - £55,000 per annum
