Our client is a multi-disciplinary therapy centre, offering a nationwide range of in-person and online therapies and assessments. Therapies include Speech and Language, Occupational Therapy, Art, Drama and Play therapy as well as Autism and ADHD assessments. The company is expanding quickly and everyone working there has a huge love for working with families and children with a strong focus on staff connection and empowerment.

The in-house system that manages patients, appointments, therapy and projects needs advancing and we require a team to help deliver this vision. These systems are paramount to the success of delivering successful therapy and assessments nationwide.

Senior PHP Developer

We are building out a new team in order to bring development in-house and are actively looking for a Senior PHP developer.

You will be working within an agile environment to help drive technology advancement.  

The core activities for this role will include

  • Using your knowledge of PHP to develop and maintain a suite of services.
  • Participate in code reviews and share knowledge with the wider development team
  • Troubleshoot, investigate and fix bugs.
  • API integrations and integrations with third-party web services

We are looking for an experienced, measured person who has a keen attention to detail but with a strong team player mentality. Flexible and adaptable in a rapidly changing organizational environment.

Experience needed

  • Laravel
  • PHP
  • MySQL 
  • Understanding of security implications 
  • Knowledge of AWS and its product stack
  • Knowledge of GIT version control workflows
  • Exposure to third-party REST APIs
  • Unit testing and Test driven development

Remuneration

  • Full time
  • Annual salary is £55,000 - £75,000 per annum (based on experience)
  • The engineering team is growing in Cardiff - this is a hybrid role predominately working from home but with some work from the office.
