Lead Devops Engineer

 Job Description:

Our client is a multi-disciplinary therapy centre, offering a nationwide range of in-person and online therapies and assessments. Therapies include Speech and Language, Occupational Therapy, Art, Drama and Play therapy as well as Autism and ADHD assessments. The company is expanding quickly and everyone working there has a huge love for working with families and children with a strong focus on staff connection and empowerment. 

Technology Advancement

2023 is the year to bring development in-house and advance technology. The in-house system that manages patients, appointments, therapy and projects needs advancing and we require a team to help deliver this vision. These systems are paramount to the success of delivering successful therapy and assessments nationwide. 

The first hire we require is an experienced DevOps Engineer.

The core activities for this role will include

  • Build, maintain and support technical infrastructure services.
  • Provision of infrastructure solutions to support technical software delivery.
  • Monitoring of all internal and production systems, ensuring stability, performance and capacity management, and recommending improvements/efficiencies wherever necessary.

The existing systems are running on Linux VMs, so a strong knowledge of Linux system administration is required to help manage the transition to a serverless infrastructure.

  • AWS
  • Application deployments to AWS
  • CI/CD and must be able to create a pipeline
  • Git

  • Linux (Ubuntu) system administration
  • Containers (Docker/ECS)
  • Aurora MySQL
  • CloudFormation
  • ECS

The successful candidate will need to be well-versed in AWS and deploying applications into the AWS Environment. 

We are looking for an experienced, measured person who has a keen attention to detail but with a strong team player mentality.  We require someone to be flexible and adaptable in a rapidly changing organizational environment.

Remuneration

  • £60,000 - £80,000 salary dependent on experience (salary will be based on match to post and level of experience)
  • Hybrid working - most of the time will be based from home but there will be some requirements to attend the office
  • Pension, sick pay, 25 days leave excluding public holidays.
  • Full training on existing systems.
