Our award-winning, high-growth, high-performance client is currently looking to recruit a PHP Developer to maintain their suite of microservices and develop new backend features. The PHP Developer will develop solutions for the finance industry and will own the development of features end-to-end including the scoping, architecture, development and testing.

You will join a strong engineering team responsible for delivering and maintaining a fast-growing micro-service-powered application used by enterprise financial institutions. You will work in a close-knit team, so youll need to be able to work collaboratively and make the right decision for the company and the team. We are always looking to innovate in a fast-paced market.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the development of features end-to-end including the scoping, architecture, development and testing
• Work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, QA and other engineers to design solutions around defined requirements
• Make improvements to the developer experience by working with our DX engineer and suggesting code improvements and mentorship

Essential requirements

• Good level of experience in application development
• Experience with PHP 8 and Laravel
• Relational databases including MySQL and PostgreSQL
• Experience with Docker
• Strong experience with modern technology stacks and JSON API standards

• Salary is negotiable and based on experience 
• 25 days of leave, increasing to 28 days. Plus bank holidays
