Position Overview:
The HR Recruiter & Interview Specialist will lead high-volume recruiting efforts, focusing on sourcing, interviewing, and pre-boarding for early childhood education staff. You'll be the first line of human connection with applicants, screening for warmth, professionalism, and cultural fit, and you will work closely with the co-owner to refine and document hiring workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Post openings and manage job boards (e.g., Indeed); monitor ad performance and budget.
- Review incoming resumes and conduct proactive outreach to qualified candidates.
- Run 15-25 first-round Zoom interviews weekly, assessing soft skills and alignment with team and parent expectations.
- Make recommendations for hire, issue digital offer letters, and track acceptance.
- Coordinate pre-boarding tasks, including background checks, fingerprint scheduling, ADP account creation, and education/document verification.
- Own and maintain SOPs related to the recruiting process using Microsoft SharePoint or OneDrive.
- Track time-to-hire metrics, source effectiveness, and funnel health through simple dashboards.
- Shadow leadership early on to learn hiring standards and contribute to continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of high-volume recruiting or interviewer experience (BPO, retail, education, or hospitality a plus).
- Strong emotional intelligence with proven ability to assess soft skills and cultural fit.
- Excellent spoken and written English; Spanish fluency is a plus.
- Confident using Microsoft 365 tools (Teams, Outlook, Excel, SharePoint) and basic job platforms (Indeed, LinkedIn).
- Reliable home office setup with webcam, headset, and high-speed internet (10 Mbps+).
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience recruiting in childcare, healthcare, or safety-first, client-facing environments.
- Familiarity with US-based onboarding platforms like ADP Workforce Now or Checkr.
- Comfortable using generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini) to draft SOPs or improve process documentation.
