Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join our finance team. This role focuses on supporting the company with general accounting practices and financial planning & analysis (FP&A), ensuring efficient financial operations and accurate reporting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for month-end closing activities, FP&A modeling, cash forecasting, and enhancing financial procedures and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct general ledger accounting and financial reporting, utilizing NetSuite; experience with other financial systems is acceptable, with training on NetSuite provided.
  • Lead FP&A activities including cash flow forecasting, management of forecast models, and month-end reporting.
  • Develop comprehensive financial models, including three-statement models, to support decision-making processes.
  • Handle complex financial analysis and revenue recognition tasks, ensuring compliance with GAAP.
  • Prepare detailed reports for board presentations and other internal communication.
  • Engage in M&A activities, providing analytical support and insights (preferred, but not required).
  • Manage and improve financial and accounting processes and systems.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 8 years of finance experience within a corporate setting, not limited to consultancy or banking roles.
  • Thorough understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Strong capability in financial modeling and experience with major accounting software packages; direct experience with NetSuite is a plus.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
  • Good communication skills in English are essential for effective collaboration with internal teams.
  • Proactive and curious nature, with the willingness to initiate contact and ask questions to resolve issues.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Experience in tax handling and media sector finance.
  • Previous involvement in mergers and acquisitions.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or similar qualification.
