Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Purchasing Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing and procuring gloves, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring that inventory levels are maintained to meet company needs. This role requires strong negotiation skills, market analysis capabilities, and an understanding of supply chain processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Sourcing: Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for gloves, ensuring compliance with quality standards, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
- Supplier Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, prices, and terms to achieve optimal purchasing agreements.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, pricing, and new product developments, ensuring the company remains competitive.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate stock of gloves, coordinating with the inventory and warehouse teams to avoid shortages or overstock situations.
- Quality Assurance: Work closely with suppliers and internal teams to ensure that all gloves meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Cost Optimization: Develop and implement cost-saving strategies while maintaining product quality and supply reliability.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product development teams to understand product requirements and align sourcing strategies accordingly.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions.
- Reporting: Prepare regular reports on sourcing activities, supplier performance, and market conditions for senior management.
Qualifications:
- Language Skills: Proficient in English with strong communication skills.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in product sourcing or procurement, with a focus on gloves or similar products.
- Technical Skills: Experience with ERP systems, procurement software, and strong analytical skills.
- Attributes: Strong negotiation and contract management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience in supply chain management and inventory control.
- Familiarity with the latest industry trends in glove manufacturing and distribution.
