Our client is one of the largest suppliers of industrial equipment, machinery, and automation solutions in the world.

They are seeking a versatile and hands-on Field Services Engineer with strong Mandarin proficiency (HSK Level 4 or above) and several years of technical experience across industrial machinery, automated systems, and/or production line equipment. In this role, you will be responsible for customer training, installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and commissioning at client sites across the region - including frequent interaction with Chinese-speaking engineering teams and vendors.

Please do not apply if you cannot speak Mandarin at a sufficient level, or are unwilling to travel around the country on a regular basis.

For logistical reasons, candidates from outside of HCMC should carefully weigh the possibility of relocation to HCMC before applying.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform on-site installation, commissioning, and calibration of industrial machinery and production systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide technical support and training to end users, production operators, and maintenance staff.
  • Communicate directly with Mandarin-speaking OEMs, vendors, or technical support teams to resolve complex issues or coordinate remote diagnostics.
  • Translate manuals, service reports, or technical documentation between Mandarin and local language/English when needed.
  • Conduct regular preventive maintenance checks and performance audits.
  • Escalate unresolved technical issues and collaborate with internal engineering and product teams to drive long-term solutions.
  • Ensure that all work complies with customer safety protocols and internal quality standards.
  • Prepare accurate and timely service reports, parts usage logs, and customer feedback documentation.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bare minimum 3 years of engineering/technical support experience, ideally with industrial machinery, automation systems, or production equipment.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin at HSK Level 4 or higher (reading, writing, and speaking).
  • Solid understanding of mechanical systems, electrical controls, sensors, PLCs, or HMI interfaces.
  • Strong hands-on troubleshooting skills in field environments.
  • Ability to travel frequently to customer sites across the region.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a service-oriented mindset.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field is preferred.
