About the job Implementation Associate
Job Title: Implementation Associate
Monthly Pay: $4,209 - $5,664 USD per month
Summary:
An implementation request arrives, becomes a clear task plan, moves through readiness checks, and closes with a documented handoff. This contract Implementation Associate supports that process so customers and internal teams understand what happens next and who owns each action. The role sits within the project management team and works under a project manager, partnering with customer contacts, implementation specialists, and service teams. This is a fully remote, desk-based position offering work from home in New York, United States. The role requires a 40-hour weekly commitment. Working days and shift times may vary.
Job Responsibilities:
- Receive implementation requests through a shared email inbox or project queue, acknowledge receipt, and organize the information needed for an initial review.
- Check each request for agreed objectives, customer contacts, requested timing, and missing details before asking the project manager to confirm next steps.
- Create task entries in a project management tool such as Jira, recording owners, target dates, dependencies, and the current implementation stage.
- Help prepare kickoff agendas and organize customer discussions so participants understand the approved scope, planned sequence, responsibilities, and outstanding questions before work begins.
- Maintain implementation checklists and compare progress with the agreed plan, updating task status as owners provide evidence that activities are complete.
- Coordinate readiness checks with implementation specialists and customer contacts, gathering confirmation that required preparation and agreed service setup activities have been completed.
- Follow up on unanswered questions and overdue actions, keeping requests specific and recording responses so the project manager can see what remains unresolved.
- Escalate conflicting requests, missed milestones, unclear ownership, or readiness gaps to the project manager rather than changing scope or making independent delivery commitments.
- Prepare concise progress summaries showing completed tasks, upcoming milestones, blockers, and decisions needed, using verified updates rather than assumptions about completion.
- Support final handoff to the service team and close assigned tasks after approval; quality is judged by accuracy, turnaround, complete notes, and consistent follow-up.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- No experience required; related experience supporting projects, implementation activities, or organized administrative workflows is preferred.
- Basic understanding of project stages, task dependencies, milestones, and the difference between an assigned action and an approved change.
- Familiarity with a project management tool such as Jira, including task updates, comments, status fields, and checklist use.
- Ability to review request details, identify missing information, and maintain clear task histories without making unsupported assumptions.
- Clear written and verbal communication for customer updates, meeting notes, follow-up questions, and concise summaries for the project manager.
- Ability to manage several assigned tasks, recognize competing deadlines, and ask for guidance when priorities or responsibilities are unclear.
- A reliable computer, high-speed internet, and quiet private workspace, with availability for the 40-hour weekly commitment and agreed working days and shift times.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
Perks & Benefits:
- Fully remote work from home in a desk-based implementation support role.
- Structured onboarding and training on the named project management system, implementation checklists, task updates, and handoff procedures.
