Job Purpose

The Business Process Improvement (BPI) Lead is responsible for engaging with business
users across functions to deeply understand current business processes, identify pain
points, and uncover opportunities for improvement. This role emphasizes out-of-the-box thinking leveraging process adjustments, readily available technologies (e.g., barcode scanning, automation tools), or introducing transformative new technologies to redesign workflows. The ideal candidate acts as a change agent, bridging business needs with practical solutions that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and business outcomes.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Process Discovery & Analysis

  • Engage with business stakeholders to map and document current processes across
    functions.
  • Facilitate workshops and discussions to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and
    improvement opportunities.
  • Benchmark internal processes against industry best practices.

Business Process Improvement

  • Recommend and implement improvements through:
  • Process adjustments (streamlining workflows, eliminating redundancies).
    Application of available market technologies (automation, barcode/RFID, mobility tools, low-code apps).
  • Redesign of processes leveraging transformative or emerging technologies.
  • Drive cross-functional initiatives to ensure improvements align with overall business strategy.
  • Develop and maintain business process improvement roadmaps.

Change & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as a trusted partner to business leaders, facilitating alignment between strategic objectives and operational execution.
  • Communicate proposed changes clearly, ensuring buy-in from stakeholders.
  • Provide training, guidance, and knowledge transfer to process owners and end-users.

Governance & Performance Monitoring

  • Define and monitor KPIs to measure the effectiveness of process improvements.
  • Ensure continuous improvement mindset is embedded across the organization.
  • Report progress, benefits, and risks to senior management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Science, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Automation, or related fields.
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in a corporate environment with broad exposure across business domains.
  • Strong knowledge of end-to-end business processes (operations, supply chain, finance, commercial, etc.).
  • Generalist profile able to connect the dots across multiple functions rather than deep specialization.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a strong ability to think creatively and challenge the status quo.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills with the ability to engage business users at all levels.
  • Familiarity with process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen) is an advantage.
  • Consulting background is a plus.
  • Experience in identifying and applying practical technology solutions (e.g., automation, 
    data platforms, scanning devices, ERP extensions) and ability to work with IT technical experts to implement solutions.

Experience

  • Demonstrated track record in business process improvement, transformation, or
    operational excellence initiatives.
  • Proven ability to lead discussions with business stakeholders, analyze pain points, and deliver actionable solutions.
  • Exposure to both incremental improvements and larger-scale transformation projects.
  • Strong stakeholder management across senior management, operations, and IT.
