Job Summary:
The is responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy work environment by developing, implementing, and monitoring health and safety policies and procedures. This role involves conducting risk assessments, training employees, investigating incidents, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal health and safety regulations.
- Conducts regular security assessments and audits to identify potential risks, threats, and recommend appropriate risk mitigation measures.
- Implement preventative measures to mitigate risks.
- Conduct training sessions and presentations on health and safety topics.
- Educate employees on safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Investigate workplace accidents and incidents to determine causes.
- Prepare and present reports on health and safety activities.
- Maintain records of inspections, incidents, and training sessions.
- Advise management and employees on health and safety matters.
- Provide guidance on minimizing safety risks.
- Manage first aid and emergency medical care provisions.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans.
- Collaborate with external security experts and organizations, participating in security-related forums and networks to remain updated on best practices, industry trends, and emerging security challenges.
Skills:
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and health and safety management software
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Willingness to work and travel across difficult and insecure environments.
- Excellent communication and training skills.

- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
- Proactive in identifying and addressing safety issues.
Experience:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a health and safety role.
- Experience in conducting training and risk assessments.
- Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Science, in Political Science, Peace and Conflict, Social Sciences, or other relevant degrees.
