About the job IT Assistant
Duties and Responsibilities
Assist in preparing, maintaining, and upholding procedures for logging, reporting, and statistically monitoring PC performance.
Resolve customer problems promptly and accurately.
Communicate with finance and HR departments for different report requirements.
Ensure the accuracy of the system and report if there is any malfunction.
Perform routine PC maintenance and updates for performance efficiency.
Computers and peripherals on a network to diagnose, hardware versus software problems.
Supervise and process help desk support requests on time.
Installing and maintaining various peripherals as well as installing relevant updates and patches.
Maintain a standard filing system for easy and quick document assessment and retrieval.
Support development and implementation of new computer and hardware installations.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hardware and supervise installations.
Assist in maintaining Internet service, firewalls, and telephone systems.
Provide IT support for different departments and units as requested.
Other tasks instructed by the supervisor.
Requirements
Academic qualification
Bachelor's degree in information technology (IT)
Additional qualifications
Self-motivated, result-oriented attitude and well-organized work ethic
Knowledge of using different hardware and extracting reports is mandatory.
Years of experience:
BSc Degree in Information Technology and 2+ years' experience or College Diploma and 4 years experience
