A reputable law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Secretary to join their General Litigation Department. This role requires a professional, detail-oriented individual with substantial litigation experience and proficiency in legal software systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft and prepare pleadings, court documents, and correspondence
- Manage litigation files using CourtOnline and Caselines
- Assist attorneys with civil litigation procedures and court deadlines
- Schedule hearings, trials, and client meetings
- Handle filing and service of court documents
- Maintain organized case files and document management systems
- Provide administrative support to litigation attorneys
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of litigation secretarial experience
- Proficient in CourtOnline and Caselines
- Basic understanding of civil litigation procedures
- Able to draft pleadings and legal correspondence
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Fluent in English (Afrikaans proficiency beneficial)
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
