Labour Legal Advisor (Back-Office Support) – Bellville, Cape Town
Location: Bellville, Cape Town
Salary: R26,000 – R28,000 (basic, excl. allowances)
Start Date: Immediate / ASAP
An established and reputable consulting firm is looking to appoint a Labour Legal Advisor to join their Cape Town office. This role is primarily office-based and will provide key back-office support to Legal Advisors and clients across Gauteng and Cape Town.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert advice and support on employment and labour law matters
- Draft legal documents and correspondence
- Support Legal Advisors with diary management and client coordination
Represent clients at the CCMA and/or Bargaining Councils (when required)
- Facilitate online training sessions
- Handle general administration, reporting, and record-keeping
- Conduct legal research and compile newsletters
- Assist with POPI client servicing
- Manage telephonic queries (including after hours where required)
- Support management and contribute to overall service delivery
Minimum Requirements:
- LLB Degree (essential)
- Admitted Attorney / Advocate (advantageous)
- 2–3 years' practical experience in labour/employment law
- Experience representing clients at CCMA and/or Bargaining Councils (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of South African labour legislation
Key Competencies:
- Fully bilingual (English & Afrikaans preferred)
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- High level of initiative, adaptability, and confidence
Additional Requirements:
- Valid driver's license
- Own reliable vehicle
