Senior-Level Construction Site Leadership Role

SASSO Consulting is recruiting on behalf of a client seeking a highly experienced Construction Manager to take full responsibility for the execution and delivery of major building and infrastructure projects.
This is a site-based leadership role suited to a seasoned construction professional with strong technical capability, subcontractor control, commercial awareness, and proven delivery of large-scale projects.
STRICT NON-NEGOTIABLE REQUIREMENTS

Minimum 7+ years experience specifically as a Construction Manager / Site Agent / Senior Site Manager

Minimum 10+ years total construction industry experience
-
Demonstrated experience on large-scale building or civil infrastructure projects
-
Proven track record managing multiple subcontractors on site

Strong experience in:
-
Construction programming & scheduling
-
Quality assurance & quality control
-
Health & Safety compliance
-
Cost control and site financial management
-
-
Solid knowledge of construction contracts (JBCC / NEC / GCC advantageous)

Tertiary qualification in:

Construction Management
-
Civil Engineering
-
Building Science
-
Or related construction discipline
-
-
Strong leadership capability managing site teams, foremen and subcontractors
-
Valid drivers license and willingness to be site-based

ROLE PURPOSE
To take full accountability for the planning, coordination, and execution of construction activities on site, ensuring projects are delivered:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Site Leadership & Execution
-
Lead all on-site construction operations
-
Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and labour teams
-
Ensure daily productivity targets are achieved
-
Chair site meetings and toolbox talks
2. Programme & Planning
-
Develop and monitor detailed construction programmes
-
Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
-
Ensure milestones and critical path activities are achieved
3. Commercial & Cost Control
-
Monitor site costs and labour productivity
-
Approve subcontractor claims and verify work completed
-
Manage variations and site instructions in collaboration with QS
4. Quality Assurance
-
Ensure compliance with project specifications and drawings
-
Conduct inspections and manage snag lists
-
Implement corrective actions where required
5. Health & Safety
-
Enforce OHS Act compliance on site
-
Conduct risk assessments
-
Maintain safe working environment at all times
-
Ensure subcontractor compliance with safety standards
6. Stakeholder Management
-
Liaise with clients, consultants, and professional teams
-
Represent the company in site meetings
-
Maintain strong communication across all stakeholders
