Salary: R700,000 CTC per annum

About the Role
Booyco Engineering seeks a highly motivated Project Engineer (Mechanical) with strong experience in HVAC design and mechanical systems. This individual will lead projects through design, development, and production support stages, ensuring all deliverables meet Booycos quality and international standards.
This position requires a technically strong engineer with solid project management, analytical, and client-facing skills.
Key Responsibilities

Manage and execute engineering projects from design to delivery.

Design HVAC systems, including component sizing, selection, and optimisation.

Develop conceptual, preliminary, and detailed designs.

Prepare and review manufacturing data packs, including:

Bills of Materials (BOMs)

Technical drawings and specifications
-
Production and quality documentation
-

Produce technical documentation in line with ISO requirements.

Conduct qualification testing and prepare test reports.

Research and source suitable system components.

Perform failure analysis and write investigation reports.

Liaise directly with clients on technical and project-related matters.

Support Operations and Field Services teams during development, production, and post-delivery phases.

Assist with quality investigations and documentation.

Analyse in-field performance data to drive reliability improvements.
Minimum Requirements

Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering (essential)

5+ years experience in project engineering or HVAC-related roles (preferred)

Leadership or supervisory experience advantageous

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Experience with SolidWorks CAD and FEA/CFD analysis advantageous

Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and technical writing abilities

Valid drivers licence (essential)
