Role Overview
Our client in the mining technology sector is seeking an experienced Account Manager to be based in Kuruman, Northern Cape. This role is responsible for managing and growing key client accounts within the mining industry, ensuring service excellence, contractual compliance, and operational performance in line with SLA agreements.
The Account Manager acts as the primary liaison between the client and internal technical teams, ensuring smooth service delivery, proactive issue resolution, and strong customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving commercial performance while maintaining strict compliance with mining safety regulations and company standards.
Key Responsibilities

Manage and grow assigned customer accounts within the mining environment.

Conduct regular site visits and customer meetings to ensure service excellence.

Ensure compliance with contractual SLAs and safety regulations (MHSA, OHSA).

Compile and submit accurate month-end, quarterly, and risk management reports.

Maintain and monitor Section 21 documentation and compliance files.

Review site risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.

Ensure client satisfaction ratings of 80% or higher.

Oversee stock levels, repairs, sales orders, and operational reporting.

Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities.

Collaborate with branch administration to manage PODs, COCs, and invoicing.

Monitor budget performance and justify monthly variances.
Requirements

National Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related technical field.

Minimum 5 years experience in a technical account management or client-facing role within mining or heavy industrial environments.

Strong understanding of SLAs, compliance, and safety regulations.

Proven ability to manage key accounts and drive revenue growth.

Strong reporting, forecasting, and commercial acumen.

Valid drivers licence.

Medically fit for mine site work.
