Internal Sales Consultant – Kimberley
A well-established company in the Steel / Fluid Control industry is seeking a dynamic and experienced Internal Sales Consultant to join their Kimberley branch. This is a replacement position and an excellent opportunity for a driven individual with strong sales and product knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming calls and convert enquiries into sales
- Handle customer queries and complaints professionally
- Capture and monitor sales enquiries and orders
- Prepare and follow up on quotations (telephonically and via email)
- Process sales orders on Syspro
- Source stock from approved suppliers (standard and non-standard items)
- Monitor back orders daily and release invoices for delivery
- Expedite sales orders and coordinate deliveries
- Update customer discount structures on Syspro
- Liaise with warehouse and external sales representatives
- Provide leads to external sales team
- Assist with customer visits when required
- Ensure adherence to credit procedures and minimize credits
- Perform general administrative duties
Minimum Requirements:
- 3–5 years' experience in a sales environment (preferably within Steel or Fluid Control industry – Pumps, Irrigation, Fittings, Valves, Pipes, Flanges)
- Strong product knowledge within the relevant industry
- Syspro experience will be advantageous
- Must reside in or near Kimberley (no relocation candidates considered)
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday: 07:30 – 17:00
- Saturdays & Public Holidays: 08:00 – 13:00 (roster-based)
