Job Summary

As a highly skilled and compassionate Cath-Lab Technologist, you will aid with all invasive cardiac, vascular, and interventional procedures. You will demonstrate clinical competency, nursing judgment, teaching skills, and a commitment to providing quality patient care.   • You will be responsible for all testing and therapeutics that take place in the Cath lab. These procedures include but are not limited to cardiac catheterizations and/or coronary interventions, EP device and ablation therapies, interventional radiology, neurodiagnostic/interventions, endovascular procedures, and structural Heart (LAAC, TAVR) procedures.
  • You will facilitate effective communication among departmental staff to ensure an interdisciplinary and collaborative approach to patient care. Uses appropriate SBAR process for hand-off communication.
  • You will assist the patient through all aspects of the procedure, including transport, site preparation, sterile procedure, patient monitoring, and hemostasis following removal of catheter or sheath, and return to room. Manages emergent cases.
  • You will maintain accurate, timely, and compliant patient records. Completes all paperwork associated with these procedures and prepares tests for physician interpretation.
  • You will demonstrate an ability to be flexible and organized and function well under stressful situations
  • You will collaborate with fellow members of the team and orient as needed.

Qualifications

  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certified (ACLS) within six months of hire
  • Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES), or Registered Radiographer (ARRT)
  • Must have experience ARRT/RCIS cert preferred
  • Open to reviewing CVOR/CST with strong Vascular/IR exp
  • Exp Scrubbing, Monitoring, and Circulating required
  • 4yrs Cath/IR exp strongly preferred
  • No mapping exp needed (performed by 3rd party company)

Shift times: 7a 7:30p (12 hr shifts)

Unit Beds/ rooms: 3 rooms, average 4-6 procedures per day

Additional Information

Compensation: Salary range from min $38.48/hr

On call: $6.50 per hour starts on Sat 7a Mon 7a; Stemi and Stroke call included, average 8-9 shifts per month.

Call Back: 2hr min; time and a half pay
