Job Summary and Qualifications

Works in collaboration to coordinate all aspects of the Trauma Department's Performance Improvement and Patient Safety Program. Responsibilities include PI review of the continuum of care beginning with the prehospital setting through to hospital discharge and determination of compliance with patient care protocols, policies and procedures, and established standards of care. Knowledge of chart abstraction and the trauma registry, including reporting, data analysis, trend identification, and benchmarking of outcomes based upon the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma and Florida Department of Health standards and recommendations for quality and maintenance for trauma center verification/re-verification.

  • What qualifications you will need:
  • BCLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC and ENPC
  • Florida Registered Nurse Licensure
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course, or TNCC Instructor
  • Strong computer and hospital informatics skills: Microsoft Office Familiarity with the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma requirements
  • Strong networking abilities and public speaking skills
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate with patients, physicians, and staff as appropriate
  • Attend TOPIC course within one year of hire
  • Minimum of 3 years recent leadership experience in Trauma nursing to include Project management and Trauma Performance Improvement Clinician Quality/Performance Improvement preferred
  • Manager or Director-level experience required

  • FTEs: 12-13
  • Must have at least 3 yrs manager/Dir level experience in a trauma program
  • Must be an RN with BSN
  • Reports to CEO

Salary Range $107k - $160k max Based on years of experience

**Up To 15% bonus annual bonus, based on performance KPIs
