Resident Engineer/Project Manager

Position Overview

Saunders Staffing Agency is seeking a seasoned professional to manage construction engineering activities and field personnel. You will oversee inspection teams, ensure contract compliance, and maintain safety and quality standards across major infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Supervise inspectors, technicians, and junior staff to ensure high-quality project delivery.
• Project Oversight: Monitor construction schedules, track progress, and manage budgets to ensure timely completion.
• Quality & Compliance: Administer quality assurance programs, interpret technical specifications, and verify the accuracy of all team deliverables.
• Documentation: Prepare progress reports, pay estimates, and contract modifications while supporting final project closeout.
• Coordination: Act as the primary liaison between design teams, contractors, and public agencies.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Experience: 13+ years in construction inspection and infrastructure oversight (highway, roadway, or bridge experience preferred).
• Expertise: Deep familiarity with state transportation standards and digital reporting systems.
• Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and proficiency in MS Office and CADD platforms.
• Licensure: PE License is highly preferred.
