Job Description:

Savage Aviation is seeking an experienced, talented full-time Aircraft Coordinator / Dispatcher to join our Team! This position is in a rural town in southwest Alaska. 15 days on 15 days off, housing provided, $400 a month stipend for travel to and from Alaska. 8–12-hour workdays, overtime after 8th hour on duty.


Control and coordinate requests for on-demand charter

Assist Director of Flight Operations in the maintenance of his/her duties.

Schedule aircraft and flight crew, to accommodate customer requests.

Address/resolve operational failures with the customer, couriers, pilots, sales team, flight department staff, ground support, ramp, and any other providers and/or vendors that may be used during a trip. 

Maintain communication of passengers and/or cargo that are being transported on a charter trip throughout shift; coordinate flight arrivals and take-off, flow of passengers and/or cargo at all locations, pilots, ground crew, etc.

Monitor weather conditions, developing contingency plans as appropriate and communicate such plans, weather conditions, and/or other irregularities to pilots and other personnel.

Maintain aircraft availability schedule as directed by the maintenance department to assure minimal interruption in customer satisfaction due to aircraft maintenance.

Coordinate flights based on operational needs. (i.e. reposition flights, maintenance ferries, etc).

Evaluate customer’s requests and coordinate charter and routing to quote customers.

Calculate costs and fees to determine customer price.

Maintain up-to-date and accurate information of all sales activity in the trip and quote database. Provide billing/ accounting information to the appropriate department after completion of any event.

Write operational recap (end of shift) and pre-operational plan for the next shift.

Input, monitor, and asses all related Flight Instructor or flight/crew information changes.

High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required.

Valid Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate preferred but not required.

Prior dispatch experience preferred.

Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced team environment while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.

Ability to interact, communicate and maintain relationships with diverse internal and external customers.

Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Able to work in a team environment.

Excellent leadership, decision making, judgment, communication, interpersonal, delegation and teamwork skills.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour


8 hour shift

12 hour shift
