DIGITAL DTP OPERATOR

Location:  Johannesburg 
Onsite role

Core Purpose of the Job

To produce accurate, repro-ready artwork that enables superior final material with minimal risk, time, and expense by following the RMS system and workflow principles.

Key Performance Areas

• Produce technically correct, comprehensive artwork according to the brief within allocated timeframes

• Ensure accuracy when integrating jobs from RMS into InDesign

• Escalate and troubleshoot all brief, layout, retouching, or quality-related issues

• Ensure correct sign-off procedures in RMS are followed before final production and transmission to the relevant output channel

• Maintain consistent backup records and archive all approved artwork in the RMS Guardbook, retrieving files as required

Qualifications / Experience

• Relevant tertiary qualification with experience in a fast-paced retail environment

• Proven retail layout experience

• Mac OS X literate

• Excellent knowledge and understanding of the print repro process

• Skilled in DTP tools (Adobe Creative Suite), with extensive knowledge of InDesign and working knowledge of After Effects
