Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Sourcing Coordinator to join our growing business. This is a junior-level position suited to someone who is confident, computer savvy, administratively strong, and eager to learn and grow within a fast-paced marketing and print environment.
The successful candidate will play a key support role in sourcing products, materials, suppliers, and service providers, while assisting with administration, data management, and coordination across various departments. We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and the potential to develop into a more senior operational or procurement role over time.
Key Responsibilities
Sourcing & Supplier Coordination
- Source products, materials, and services based on business and client requirements.
- Obtain quotations from suppliers and compare pricing, lead times, and specifications.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Assist with supplier research and onboarding.
- Follow up on orders, deliveries, and supplier queries.
Administration & Data Management
- Capture and maintain accurate information across internal systems and spreadsheets.
- Prepare quotations, reports, and sourcing documentation.
- Ensure supplier records and pricing information remain up to date.
- Manage filing, document control, and administrative processes.
Operational Support
- Assist the operations and production teams with day-to-day coordination tasks.
- Monitor order progress and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Help ensure projects and production schedules remain on track.
- Escalate any supply, pricing, or delivery concerns promptly.
Research & Analysis
- Conduct online research to identify suppliers, products, and industry trends.
- Compare supplier offerings and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Gather and organise information to support business decision-making.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Matric (Grade 12) required.
- Diploma or qualification in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Marketing, Operations, or a related field is advantageous.
Experience
- Previous administration, coordination, customer service, procurement support, or office experience is advantageous.
- Experience within a print, production, marketing, retail, or agency environment would be beneficial.
- No formal sourcing or procurement experience is required; training will be provided.
Technical Skills
- Strong computer literacy and confidence working with technology.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Comfortable learning new software and business systems.
- Strong data capturing and information management skills.
- Ability to conduct online research efficiently and accurately.
