Director of Operations - Appliances and Consumer Electronics

We are excited to partner with CITY Furniture to find a people-first, LEAN-savvy Director of Operations to lead their new Appliances & Consumer Electronics division. This hands-on leader will drive operational excellence across warehouse, delivery, and installation functions ensuring exceptional customer experience from point of sale to home setup.

This isn't just an operational role. Its a strategic and tactical opportunity for someone with proven LEAN process expertise, a people-first leadership style, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.

What You'll Be Doing:

Strategic Operations Leadership

• Oversee end-to-end operations for the appliance value stream from point of sale through delivery and installation
• Identify process improvements and implement best-in-class practices
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations

Performance Management & Financial Oversight

• Develop KPIs and dashboards to track operational success
• Manage budgets, forecast resource needs, and implement cost-control strategies
• Align performance goals with business objectives to drive efficiency and profitability

What You Bring to the Table:

Experience & Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, or related field (Masters preferred)
• 5+ years in retail operations management, including 3+ years in appliance sales/delivery
• Experience in installation-based environments is a plus

Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong business acumen and analytical mindset
• Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, POS and inventory systems
• Valid drivers license and flexibility to travel to store/warehouse locations

Work Style:

• Monday - Friday. Availability for occasional weekend or evening work during peak periods
• Capable of standing, walking, and lifting up to 25lbs as needed
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-accountability environments
