Our Client, an international e-commerce company with a strong presence in the USA, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics Manager who will take full ownership of the company's international and domestic logistics chain for a full-time remote job

This role will be responsible for overseeing the entire process from loading at origin in China to final delivery at the company's U.S. warehouses. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in container logistics, freight negotiations, port operations, and domestic ground transport planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Container Coordination:
    • Ensure containers are loaded on time at origin (China) and communicate regularly with suppliers and freight forwarders.
    • Manage shipping documentation and container scheduling.
  • Freight Management:
    • Liaise with freight forwarders to obtain and evaluate maritime line quotes.
    • Ensure selection of the most cost-effective and reliable ocean freight options based on timelines and service quality.
  • In-Transit Tracking:
    • Track containers while at sea and provide regular status updates.
    • Proactively flag delays and suggest alternative plans where necessary.
  • Port and Duties Oversight:
    • Monitor container clearance at U.S. ports, including overseeing the management of duties and any customs compliance requirements.
    • Work with brokers and port agents to ensure swift processing.
  • Domestic Logistics:
    • Assess and manage transport from port to warehouses in UT and TN.
    • Identify alternatives when rail service is delayed or congested, including trucking solutions.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in international logistics or supply chain management.
  • Strong knowledge of ocean freight, U.S. port operations, and domestic ground/rail transport.
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills across multiple stakeholders and time zones.
  • Problem-solver with ability to adapt to changing conditions and resolve delivery issues in real time.
  • Familiarity with logistics tracking software or supply chain management tools.
  • English speaking.
