Job title: IT Manager

Area: Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia
Responsible for completing the daily activities related to information technology and accountable for planning, coordinating, directing, and designing all operational activities of the IT department. This role develops and implements processes and procedures to ensure that all matters related to IT are completed in accordance with company and customer standards.
Main areas of responsibility include:
- Liaise with the corporate IT department in Canada on all aspects of IT requirements and services.
- Manages the daily activities of the IT team and provides directions for IT team members.
- Ability to align AI adoption with business strategy and organizational goals.
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams for AI-related initiatives and projects.
- Leads large IT/eXtend ERP projects, including system updates, upgrades, migrations, and outrages by coordinating resources and timetables with other parties and enhancing efficient results for release.
- Ensures security of data, network access, and backup systems, enabling process efficiency of back-office operations.
- Managing IT activities to ensure data availability and network services with as little downtime as necessary.
- Leads IT requirements are assessed and forwarded to the corporate IT team.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
- Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time.
Requirements and skills
- Degree in the field of computer science or information systems and/or 5 years of related work experience
- Master's degree in Master of Information Technology is preferred
- Experience in project implementation and IT-related ERP system development is preferable
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build a strong rapport with customers and peers
- Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis, and of computer hardware/software systems
- Ability to speak and write fluently in English and Mongolian
- Strong change management skills for driving digital transformation
