Role purpose:

The purpose of this role is to provide services and support on crane activities of the functional area in line with the company policies and procedures to achieve the team's objectives and targeted plan.

Roster: 14/14

Contract Length: 12 months

Duties and Responsibilities:

General

  • Works with employees & various OH&S teams throughout the operation to support health& safety initiatives & awareness
  • Facilitates methods, such as audits & inspecting, to Ensures compliance with safety & occupational health standards, & relevant legislation, in assigned areas
  • Assists with Incident Investigation to support risk reduction efforts
  • Conducts / assists with risk assessments, includes works with various operational & maintenance teams to reduce / eliminate risks associated with tasks
  • Reviews & communicates safety performance trends to employees & management by analyses safety performance data
  • Takes part in & trainings the safety interaction process
  • Ability to build relationships & interface effectively with others at all levels of the organization

Cranes

  • Observe Procedure for aggregation & Safety of crane
  • Operational safety officer is to be licensed personnel who took the test of the state inspection & be appointed by management
  • Handles the official acts & records the results in the sheet of machines identification with a participation of staff responsible for the integrity of the crane
  • Oversees the prevention measures has been taken to avoid violation of rule, conducts inspection on work safety, technical condition & use of track, toolbox, rigging equipment & lifts machinery.
  • Provides validation of the hoists & lifts equipment which is not registered by the State inspection centre & performs the duties of issues operation permit.
  • Oversees inspection & maintenance of tools & boxes & a schedule of maintenance of crane track & lifts equipment
  • Attends the regular examination of maintenance & service workers & check their work is being performed in compliance with relevant procedures.
  • Verifies the workers who work at lifts operator machinery, officer responsible for equipment integrity consistent with C6 standard & Mongolian Legislation
  • Check appropriate licenses & provide guidance to those requires licenses.
  • Checks work being executed by load lifts equipment meets plant design & technological practice
  • Coordinator/Inspector Crane Safety must Ensures the enforcement of personal safety & permission system for works near the power line & bridge crane consistent with C6 standard & Mongolian Legislation
  • Ensures that maintenance & other works being executed on platforms & roads of the railroad crane & tower crane are in compliance with the procedure
  • Handles the general operation of lifts equipment & its track, rigging equipment replacement, shift tool, documents of internal technological box & document of registration as well as conducts basic knowledge test for staff & operators consistent with C6 standard & Mongolian Legislation.
  • Develops procedures which is used for crane shift prior to work begins trainings people accordingly
  • Coordinator/Inspector Crane Safety shall prohibit operators to make transition to another crane without permission & shall appoint the operator to work on a regular basis consistent with C6 standard & Mongolian Legislation
  • Coordinator/Inspector Crane Safety must attend technical inspection on the crane which will be a conducted by official of operational safety & state inspector consistent with C6 standard & Mongolian Legislation

General Requirements:

  • Mechanical Engineering degree of lifting equipment
  • Science, Engineering, Health, Safety, Environment or relevant discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with cranes and lifting devices, preferably in the mining industry.
  • Licence of Inspector of Crane & Lifting Equipment
