Responsibilities:

• Lead, coach, and mentor accounting staff, identifying training needs and supporting professional development in areas such as CPA credits, tax updates, and IFRS compliance.
• Foster a collaborative and professional team environment aligned with company values.
• Oversee accounting operations including accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank transactions, and petty cash, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
• Minimize overdue receivables and manage cash flow effectively.
• Streamline accounting processes and maintain departmental forms and documentation.
• Supervise month-end and year-end closings, reviewing reconciliations for AR, AP, bank, general ledger, and fixed assets.
• Organize financial data into actionable information, maintain updated records, and support internal and external audits.
• Ensure proper implementation of policies, procedures, and internal controls across the accounting function.

Requirements:

• Relevant tertiary qualification and CPA qualification at bachelor's in accounting/finance with +5 years of experience
• Team management and leadership skills
• Ability to explain complex financial data in clear, straightforward language
• Requires excellent spreadsheet skills, as well as experience with computerized accounting systems
• Handle pressure well, especially when preparing quarterly and annual reports
• Requires excellent oral and written communication skills
• Innate sense of integrity and ethics
