WORK DUTIES AND DESCRIPTION

Positions goals and objectives

• Assist and manage business improvement projects within the Transformation and Business Improvement department at OT;
• Conceptualize and design phases to plan development and eventual implementation.
• Coordinate and deliver KPI-based project implementations with continuous improvement cycles
• Manage and ensure the setup of continuous improvement best practices for selected projects.

Main duties and responsibilities

• Need to have strong design and system thinking
• Shape and deliver 'Leadership Drumbeat' design and implementation across operational areas
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and map out correct KPIs in alignment with the overall OT operational value driver tree.
• Develop tools, guidelines, and training presentations in Eng & Mon to socialize changes on the draft design
• Coach and train users in the implementation of new designs of work
• Take a leadership role in driving the transition to a new approach and establish the framework accordingly.

• Communication in English & Mongolian languages

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

General Requirements:

• 5+ years in managing or implementing business improvement projects
• Previous experience working at OT or Riotinto
• Experience in the mining value chain
• Proficiency in basic benefit calculations is essential
• Possession of a Six Sigma Green Belt certification
• Coaching and training experience 

Other Requirements:

• PMP certificate would be a plus
• Experience in identifying and setting up KPIs
• High level of document management   

Personal Requirements

• Strong stakeholder engagement & communications
• High level of communication capabilities in English & Mongolian languages
• Prior experience working in OT & RT environments
• Adept in taking a leadership role when required (prior examples required)
• Capable in defining and navigating projects where most if not everything is unknown;
• Planning, scheduling, and executing accordingly (prior examples required)
