Role purpose:

Sitting within our global HSES Transformation Programme, Data Analyst will be part of our Central Data team assisting Rio Tinto sites to consolidate and update risk registers, develop inspections to manage HSES activities and prepare data. The HSES Technology Products team is committed to providing Rio Tinto with the capability and systems to protect individuals, communities, and the environment. To do that well, and to deliver on our promises as a business, we are transforming the way we work by modernising and simplifying our approach to managing HSES data within the business which the Data Analyst will contribute. This is a unique opportunity to grow personally, assist the business to meet its objectives and gain experience in a global Project.

What you'll do:

  • Collecting and researching HSE data, in order to translate it into required formats/templates.
  • Work within the boundaries of data specifications and acceptance criteria to ensure data integrity.
  • Applying various business analysis techniques to ensure accuracy of data.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to coordinate and perform business data readiness activities.
  • Creating valuable outputs for end-users, such as reports and dashboards in Enablon and Power BI.
  • Enabling HSES processes such as Events, Risk, Actions, Audit, Compliance, Inspection through appropriate upload and review of related business data.
  • Managing review of enterprise objects (work area, organizational hierarchy)
  • Leveraging your understanding of the end-user needs/experience to identify issues or enhancements with current modules in Enablon and collaborate with the Program team to resolve.
  • Confidently building working relationships and partnering with a variety of stakeholders across the business while you build an understanding of business domains.

Location: Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia

Employment type: 6+6 months

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate or higher education obtained through degrees or diplomas from academic college or universities in the field of Business administration, Finance, Accounting, or similar areas.
  • 2+ years of experience in areas such as project support, financial analysis, accounting, business management.
  • Working knowledge of SAP is desirable.
  • Exceptional spoken and written English is required.
  • French language skill would be an added advantage.
