Job Purpose:

The Body and Paint Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality instructional programs in automotive body repair and refinishing techniques. This role involves teaching students the fundamentals of bodywork, paint application, and repair processes using industry-standard practices and technologies. The instructor will provide hands-on training, develop lesson plans, and evaluate student performance to prepare them for successful careers in the automotive industry.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement an engaging curriculum that covers all aspects of automotive body repair and paint application.
  • Deliver lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on training that aligns with industry standards and best practices.
  • Provide students with practical, hands-on experience in body repair, paint application, and related automotive technologies.
  • Supervise student projects, ensuring that safety protocols and quality standards are consistently met.
  • Assess and evaluate student performance through tests, practical exams, and project assessments.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students and support their learning through additional resources and guidance.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in the
  • automotive body and paint industry.
  • Collaborate with industry partners to ensure the curriculum meets employer needs and prepares
  • students for job placements.
  • Ensure that all teaching facilities, tools, and equipment are maintained in a safe and functional condition
  • condition.
  • Assist in the procurement of tools and materials for instructional purposes.
  • Promote and enforce safety standards and practices in the workshop environment, ensuring
  • compliance with regulations and guidelines.
  • Conduct safety training and orientation for students at the beginning of each term.
  • Serve as a mentor and resource for students, providing guidance on career pathways and job search strategies.
  • Offer support to students encountering challenges in their training or studies.
  • Other tasks given by the managers ad-hoc basis

Skills Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; certificate on in automotive body repair and pain ng or related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in automotive body repair and paint application, with hands-on
  • experience in the industry.
  • Knowledge in English, ability in Japanese is an advantages.
  • Experience in supply chain management is preferred.
