Commercial Manager
About the job Commercial Manager
We are looking to hire professional Commercial Manager at the one of the well-known mining company in Mongolia. In this role you will developing and implementing commercial strategies according to the companys goals and objectives. The primary focus of this position will be on the development of the companys mineral exploration and mining projects.
Responsibilities:
- Develop cost estimates and track budgets for the Project
- Develop tender materials for various purchases of goods and services for the projects
- Review and validate quotations and proposals, ensuring appropriate involvement from team members
- Supervise and support preparation and finalization of major contracts, subcontracts, consultancy agreements and purchase orders
- Oversee the administration of contractors, subcontractors and suppliers
- Identify potential risk exposure to the Project and associated mitigation strategies, conducting regular risk assessments
- Monitor commercial compliance to comply with Company Policy
- Administer contractual and commercial deliverables and report
- Supervise and develop subordinates on commercial procedures and company policies
- Implement and monitor commercial procedures, including variation and change control and moral hazard risks
- Liaise with other members of the technical and administration teams
- Prepare regular reporting on financial status of the project(s)
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in business administration, finance or relevant field
- At least 7 years proven experience in procurement and commercial activities
- Experience with commercial law (contracting, arbitration) and quantity surveying
- Experience with construction and/or industrial projects
- Knowledge of contracting norms and practice, both Mongolian and international rules and practices
- Proficiency in project management and enterprise resource planning software use
- Experience managing relationships with contractors and suppliers
- Understanding of market research methods and analysis
- Knowledge of project performance reporting and financial/budgeting processes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in Mongolian; English reading and writing skills required.
