Contract Length: 6 months

Role Purpose: 

  • The purpose of this role is to provide professional guidance and support on inbound logistics and expediting activities of the functional area in line with the company policies and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage international freight forwarding, courier, expediting, consumable inventory management, warehousing, and onshore or offshore transportation, customs brokerage operations daily to ensure a reliable and on-time delivery of mining supplies and spare parts from all over the world to the Mine site.
  • Foresee potential risks in operational stages and communications, then take the necessary mitigation action to prevent delay and cost increase, and relevant law non-compliance.
    Liaise with international suppliers and logistics service providers proactively and extensively to ensure the timely flow of documents and material movement.
  • Ensure that company freight is delivered in accordance with the pre-determined schedule to keep the DIFOT rate at the targeted level.
  • Complete the shipment processing steps within the required timeframe and adhere to the Standard Operating Procedure at all times.
  • Take ownership of International Order Logistics Management System-related processes and procedures, ensure all data and reports are up-to-date and accurate.
  • Ensure the operational and commercial data using Excel, Power BI data, and reports are up-to-date and no discrepancies.
  • Comply international purchase orders' INCO Terms and apply them through all operational stages.
  • Produce reports on key metrics for the operation of the business to end users and other stakeholders on a regular basis.
  • Adhere to government rules and regulations, company policy and safety requirements.
    Ensure all necessary permits and licenses are obtained from the respective government authorities where and when they are required
  • Manage queries from all areas and departments on logistics matters, prioritise them, and respond or seek further guidance
  • Monitor and check the monthly commercial documents as they are presented from the various sources and contractors
  • Actively monitor the contractual obligations of the logistics service providers and customs brokers, any deviations are promptly reported to the leaders

General Requirements:

  • Undergraduate or equivalent or higher education obtained through degrees or diplomas from academic college or universities.
  • Logistics or relevant discipline.
  • At least 5 years of operational experience in International freight forwarding
