Role purpose:
Leads and coordinates capital or closure project studies, managing technical and commercial aspects. Ensures safe, successful delivery and business case development. Applies expertise to solve problems using established procedures, with moderate guidance.
Responsibilities:
- Define study scope and objectives for capital or closure projects, supporting business case development and process improvements.
- Develop study plans, methodologies, and data requirements; provide daily project support.
- Oversee contractors/consultants to ensure studies meet scope, cost, timeline, and quality standards.
- Assess OOM and Prefeasibility studies, technical viability, regulatory compliance, and risks.
- Prepare and review cost estimates, financial analyses (ROI, NPV, cash flow), and mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with SMEs and stakeholders; implement engagement plans and maintain strong relationships.
- Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and performance indicators; escalate delivery issues as needed.
- Analyze data for metrics and management reporting.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and better decision-making.
- Support capital project prioritization and portfolio selection.
Job requirements:
- Bachelor's in engineering (Civil, HVAC, Mechanical, or related).
- 5 years experience in study/project management, focusing on capital projects.
- Skilled in engineering studies, construction, regulations, and compliance.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficient in project management tools, SharePoint, Excel, and Power BI.
- Strategic thinker with problem-solving skills; fluent in English.
- Able to deliver under tight deadlines in high-pressure environments.
