Automation Engineer (Machine & Equipment) -Ratchaburi-based, SCGP

Job Summary

Drive the development and implementation of automation systems and in-house machinery to improve manufacturing productivity, cost efficiency, and operational performance. Lead engineering projects from design through installation while exploring new technologies to enhance competitiveness and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop partnerships with qualified vendors and fabrication suppliers for automation systems and custom-built machinery projects.
• Lead the design and development of automation systems and in-house machinery to improve productivity, quality, and cost competitiveness.
• Optimize machine and automation designs through simulation, redesign, and alternative material selection to achieve lower costs and higher performance.
• Manage automation and machinery installation projects, ensuring delivery according to agreed schedules, budgets, and performance targets.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and external partners throughout project execution and implementation.
• Conduct feasibility studies and evaluate technical solutions for automation and machine development initiatives.
• Research and assess emerging technologies, robotics, and automation solutions for potential application in manufacturing operations.
• Develop reliable, maintainable, and standardized machine designs that minimize breakdowns and simplify maintenance activities.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and manufacturing productivity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Control Engineering, Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields (Bachelor GPA > 2.70, Master GPA > 3.30)
• 1–3 years of experience in automation system design, machine design, electrical engineering, or automation project management
• Knowledge of automation process design and industrial automation systems
• Experience with PLC Programming, Robot Programming, and Plant Simulation
• Familiarity with Python, C#, and Microsoft Office applications
• Strong analytical thinking, logical problem-solving, and feasibility study skills
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work effectively with vendors and project partners
• Able to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Good command of English in verbal and written communication (TOEIC > 550)
• Willing to work onsite at SCG Packaging Public Company Limited (Ratchaburi)
