Electrical Sensor Engineer (Plant Reliability & Smart Motor), Chemical Business

Job Summary: Develop an advanced electrical sensing technology to improve electrical equipment health monitoring and plant reliability (Motor, Transformer, Power Cable, Inverter, etc) Provide advanced technical support (Tier 3) for smart Motor product, lead the development of next-generation Smart Motor Solutions, and establish sensor standards for electrical condition monitoring. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy diagnostic tools and digital systems that enhance equipment reliability and operation performance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform advanced technical support (Tier 3) for Smart Motor Solution, support troubleshooting, root-cause verification, recommended action if required and motor health assessment.
2. Develop and enhance the next-generation Smart Motor platform, including algorithms, test procedures, and diagnostic features.
3. Conduct research, design, and evaluation of electrical sensing technologies (current, voltage, power quality, insulation behavior, etc) to improve detection of abnormal conditions.
4. Establish and maintain standards/specifications for electrical condition-monitoring sensors to ensure data quality, reliability, and compatibility
5. Collaborate with reliability, maintenance, and digital platform teams to integrate Smart Motor and electrical sensor data into predictive maintenance systems and digital twins.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors, Masters, or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Hands-on experience with electrical equipment diagnostics (motors, transformers, inverters, power cables)
• Strong knowledge of electrical sensors and condition monitoring systems
• Experience in troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and technical support
• Proficiency in Python; experience with LabVIEW or measurement systems
• Ability to work with maintenance, reliability, and digital teams
• Good English communication skills Electrical Engineering
