Job Summary:

This position seeks for a highly skilled Researcher to lead R&D efforts in polymer microstructure characterization. The primary objective of this role is to drive success in new product development and polyolefin technology advancement by applying fundamental and advanced separation and spectroscopy techniques. The successful candidate will act as a technical subject matter expert, solving complex material problems and elucidating the structure-property relationships of polyolefins to support business growth and innovation.

Key responsibilities:

  • Method Development & Advanced Characterization:

Design and validate robust analytical methods using advanced separation and spectroscopy techniques to elucidate complex polyolefin microstructures. Translate these analytical findings into actionable insights that solve critical problems in product design, and processing.

  • Project Collaboration & Technical Support:

Collaborate cross-functionally to establish structure-property relationships that guide high-performance polyolefin development. Provide expert technical consultation and root-cause analysis for failure investigations, competitor benchmarking, and customer support.

  • Technology Scouting & Innovation:

Monitor scientific trends and foster external collaborations to identify and implement cutting-edge analytical technologies. continuously upgrading the lab's speed, accuracy, and depth of analysis to stay ahead of industry standards.

  • Operational Excellence:

Lead the microstructure characterization laboratory by supervising and mentoring staff to ensure high safety and data standards, managing the full lifecycle of analytical instrumentation, and driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. or Postdoctoral Degree in Polymer Science, Analytical Science, Polymer Physics, Chemical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum GPA of 2.70 for undergraduate and 3.30 for postgraduate studies
  • Strong command of English (TOEIC score 700 or above)
  • Proven ability to design, conduct, and analyze research experiments, with strong problem-solving skills
  • Collaborative research mindset with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams
  • Willingness to work in Rayong
